Minivan Mom

For those of you who don't know, we are now owners of a minivan! Yes, we have now officially taken on the mommy/daddy roll. It is funny because Tater had always said that he will Not own a minivan or have his child watch Barney. He has broken both rules. :) We both actually love our van, and we were so glad to have it last weekend for our getaway trip to Minnesota. Here is a picture from the Mall of America. Landon loved the rides there and of course I loved all the stores. :)
I really felt like a mom the other day when I took Landon to tumbling (open gym) in the minivan. We had a great time. My sister April and Jessica Beer invited us. Landon loved it. For those of you with kids, it is a great place to go to let them release their energy. Especially in the winter. Open gym is $5 for an hour. Landon loved jumping on the trampolines. They also have a foam pit, balls, balance beam and bars. Check out their website at http://www.risingstarsacademy.com/ for the open gym hours.
Anyway, I'm very thankful for our minivan, and I'm really enjoying our new ride. :)

My boys and Shauna love Rising Stars. We've gone to open gym a couple of times. The foam pit was their favorite. Isaiah is in gymnastics there right now and LOVES it.

Congrats on the minivan again.

Also, was Tater ready to kill me for sending the stuffed Barney home with Landon they other day. I didn't realize that he objected to Barney. Oh well, that what aunts are for. :)

Hey Sara, Tater didn't mind that you gave the stuffed Barney to Landon the other day. :) That was sweet of you! He actually doesn't mind Barney as much now (especially since he sees how much Landon loves it). :)

Congrats on the van! I must say that the van stage is looming ahead of me and I'm not very excited about it. :) I always wanted to be the SUV mom, but my husband will have none of it! Thankfully with #2 on the way I am able to keep my car for a while longer and maybe we'll get a van in a year or two. It's an encouragement to see my mom friends getting vans so that I can prepare myself for the van stage!! Enjoy your sweet ride!

Congrats you guys!!! You'll love it the longer you have it!!! I was that "SUV mom" for a while....Now I've been the proud owner of a minivan for 2.5 years. I must say the space is sooooooo much better(truly!!), and it's nice for long car trips.:)
