A Giveaway!

Win a FREE photo session in 2008!!!

We want your ideas! We want to offer our clients package options in the coming year. This would allow them to order more of what they want at a cheaper price.

If you were a client of ours, what would your ideal print package be?

An example would be:
1 16x20
2 8x10's
4 5x7's
2 4x6's
16 wallets

If you give us some feedback and live within about 30 miles of Bloomington/Normal, your name will be entered into a drawing for the free photo session. The deadline to post your comments is on Dec. 31st, 2007. On January 1st, the drawing will take place and the winner will be announced.

Storyboards, albums, etc. can be included in the package you mention (if you desire). Think about what you would want to order and then reply. It's that easy. We can't wait to hear from you!

Oohhh how fun! We would love a photography session from you! (Although I guess we'll still use you even if you we don't win the free session!!) :) Anyway, here are my thoughts on the subject...

I love getting professional pics taken often, but I don't purchase very many pictures at a time so that I can go more often...does that make sense? If I would spend tons of money each time I went professional I would feel bad going back so soon to get new pics to replace the ones I just bought. So, my ideal package would be a smaller package including (I'm assuming these are all the same photo?)...

1- 8x10
1- 5x7
2- 4x6
20-30 wallets

I obviously don't know how packages work, but if you can choose multiple poses then I would do a package like this...

2-3- 8x10
2-3- 5x7
4- 4x6
20-30 wallets

A photographer we used before you were around : ) provided a similar combination package with a flexibility option that I loved and could see working really well for you . . .and since I doubt the idea is copyrighted, thought I'd share that! : )

Different types of pictures were divided up into what was called a "unit." Different numbers of different sized pictures made up a unit. So one 8 x 10 was a unit, 2 5 x 7's were a unit, 4 4 x 6's were a unit, or 1 set of wallets were a unit. Then she offered 2 different sized packages: one package was 4 units (I think) for a certain amount (of all the same pictures) and the other package was 6 units (?) (of 1 OR 2 pictures). That way you can make whatever combination best fits your own needs. I loved the idea as one person may want a lot of wallets while another likes the bigger pictures but either way, the package price and idea works for them.

It was also nice to be able to purchase the package with 2pictures since I don't know if I would have wanted so many of just the one shot but liked using my two favorite shots.

You could tailor this to your own package size/preference for what you would think works for you and what you think customers would like.

We'd love another excuse to have you take more pictures!!! : )

First, let me just say how talented you are!!! I love the gifts that we get from our Creator! For our family an ideal package would be one that allows for multiple poses to be purchased with a set of sizings.
ex:
2 8*10
4 5*7 (because the grandparents will need a new pictures too!)
20 wallets

I also like when photographers have a set sitting fee for a couple of photo sessions (like for infant they can do maternity, newborn, 6 months, 1 year)

I hope that this makes sense! Have a wonderful holiday!

Just thought I would add that I really like Amber's package idea! I agree that it is nice so you can tailor it to your own needs. And of course multiple poses are great! :)

Can I copy Amber and agree that the flexible package options work great? It's so nice, especially when you may have different needs at different times... SO, that's my vote!

I am really enjoying seeing your talents at work- keep it up!

I am not trying to not think of another idea but I do think that Amber's is the very best and I cant come up with anything better! Its nice to pay for what you really want and not get these random sizes (does anyone use the 11x14) that you will never use! I too and very much enjoying your talents! I love His blessings he gives each of us!

Hello! Would love to win a free session, we are expecting again, so will need lots of pictures next summer!
What about offering a sort of Unit deal, for example, one unit is 8x10 or 2 5x7 or 4 3/12 x 5 or 8 wallets, etc. So you could have a package with 4 Units, 8 Units, 12 Units, etc. Then if you order the larger Unit package throwing in extra incentives like X free cards or free design set up would be nice. hope this is what you are looking for. Have a blessed Christmas.

You guys are so talented- I can't believe how quickly your business has taken off. I have to say I agree with Amber's idea. I know for myself, I have different sized frames and I buy the pictures to suit my frames, not vice versa. So flexibility is key. Another already mentioned thing is allowing for multiple poses. When your kids are little, there are so many ways to capture their personality, and we can never decide on just one pose!

Our photographer from this summer gives 4 4x6's with her session and then all pictures are individually priced. I actually sort of liked that (very cheap prices) because then I could just order exactly what I wanted and tons of poses.

So many things to think about! Hope we win!

Not to sound like a broken record, but I would suggest the same idea that most people have supported -the option of buying units that I can customize to what I need. The ability to pick more than one pose is always nice too. In general, I'd say the more flexible the package, the better!

You guys do great work - I have been so impressed by the pictures I've seen so far. Hope we win!

i had to add to kirsten's suggestion of a "first year" or any other collection package . . .it's fun if an album is included that contains snapshots from all the different sessions (say 20 pictures total . . .5 from each). It makes a fun collection of the baby's first year or whatever different photo shoots are taken!

I've never seen one but it could also be neat if a large framed picture was part of a large package . . .

Hello Tater & Haley.

I don't know if my thoughts are that different than anyone else's, but here is my two cents.

We have kind of an interesting situation because we have a LOT of family who all ask for pictures often. So our ideal package would be:
1 - 10x13 (because we have those frames now after using Portrait Innovations :) )
2 - 8x10's
2 - 5x7
4 - 4x6
Lots of wallets (20-30)

I also like the idea of having some sort of package for baby's first year of life. Since they change so much in that first year, it would be fun to have some incentive to get pictures taken often. I also like the idea of having some sort of family package for those with more than one child who would possibly want individual shots of each child, as well as shots of the kids together or a family shot?

Hopefully this wasn't too confusing.
